Orange County Woman Killed in Car Accident
Jessica Ann Faber, 18, a Huntington Beach resident was killed in a car accident on the Interstate 80 near Truckee, California, after her vehicle was struck by a wrong-way driver. According to a news report in The Union, Faber and 23-year-old passenger, Gregory Wessels, were on their way to a property in Truckee owned by Faber's family. California Highway Patrol officials said Faber was driving east on the Interstate 80 the morning of December 29, 2009, when a vehicle being driven the wrong way by 21-year-old Christopher Dann struck Faber's car head-on. Faber's vehicle caught fire. She died at the scene as did Dann. Wessels sustained major injuries and burns and remains hospitalized in serious condition.
