What Caused This Fatal Car Accident?
Based on this news report, it is not clear how or why this fatal car accident occurred. There are several unanswered questions here. Was there a vehicle defect or mechanical malfunction in the Mercedes? Was there a dangerous condition on the roadway? Were any other vehicles involved? For example, was the Mercedes cut off by another vehicle or run off the roadway by another driver? Was the driver of the Mercedes under the influence, speeding or driving recklessly? I trust officials are looking into these and other issues in order to determined what occurred here and why.
If this car accident was caused by a vehicle defect, the auto maker or manufacturer of the defective product could be held liable. In such cases, it is always a good idea to preserve the vehicle in its current damaged condition, intact, so it can be carefully examined by an expert for vehicle defects, malfunctions and other evidence. If the accident was caused by the driver’s recklessness or negligence, he could be held liable for the victim’s wrongful death.
