Woman Critically Injured in Orange County Hit-And-Run Car Accident
A 61-year-old woman was severely injured in an Orange County car accident, which police report, involved a hit-and-run driver. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the pedestrian accident occurred the early morning of February 26, 2011 at the intersection of Harbor Boulevard and Katella Avenue in Anaheim. Police say the woman was crossing eastbound in the north crosswalk at the intersection when a northbound car hit her.
The vehicle, which is described as a mid 1990s to mid 2000s white Honda Accord or Nissan Altima or Maxima, left the scene. Eyewitnesses told police that the car stopped for a moment and then drove away leaving the critically injured woman on the street. The driver of the car is described as a man about 45 years old.
