School Administrator Killed in Riverside Car Accident
Jason Moscowitz, a 37-year-old veteran of Lake Elsinore and Corona-Norco schools, was killed in a Riverside car accident after his Honda Civic collided with a Toyota Celica being driven by an 18-year-old student. According to a news report in The Press-Enterprise, the fatal car accident occurred at the intersection of Sanderson Avenue and Mustang Way in Hemet, the evening of October 27, 2011. Officials have not stated who was at fault for this collision. The accident resulted in the Civic rolling over and crashing into a traffic signal pole. Moscowitz succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash.
My deepest condolences go out to the family and friends of Jason Moscowitz for their devastating loss. He was apparently a beloved school administrator. Tragic! Please keep this grieving family in your thoughts and prayers.
Riverside Car Accident Statistics
According to California Highway Patrol’s 2009 Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System (SWITRS), five people were killed and 335 injured in Hemet car accidents. During that same year, 203 fatalities and 7,974 injuries occurred involving Riverside County car accidents.

First off I would like to say that to the family that lost their loved one my prayers are with you. It is very sad to hear about this accident I heard the collision from my bedroom window and it woke me up I knew something really terrible had happened just by the sound. I immediately began praying because I had this terrible feeling I don't know what exactly occured but I pass by the pictures of the man who died that night.
We are new here to Hemet.
What I have experienced in the short time I have been here in Hemet is that a lot of driver's out here take chances many peeople here are not considerate driver's it seems like everyone is in such a big hurry. I see many people running red lights not coming to complete stops at intersections people driving way too close to the driver in front of them like they're trying to force people to drive faster than the speed limit.
I really do hope to see a change in the near future here in Hemet. In the 10 minutes it takes me to drop my daughter's off at school I pass by three make-shift memorials with crosses pictures and flowers.
Again my heart and prayers go out to the family of Jason Mascowitz and to the 18 year-old student.
