Two cars were involved in an Anaheim car accident later morning on March 3, 2016 after one of them ran a red light. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, a Ford Escape traveling south on South Magnolia Avenue collided with a black Mercedes-Benz going west on West Broadway. Mitchell Viturino, 61, was fatally injured in a car accident early morning on February 8, 2016 after officials say a speeding driver ran a red light and struck his vehicle. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the fatal crash occurred at the intersection of North Bristol Street and West 1st Street when a 2006 Mercedes speeding southbound ran a red light and broadsided a 1999 Ford Mustang headed eastbound. The driver of the Ford Mustang, Viturino, died from his injuries.
After the collision, witnesses reported seeing two injured men leave the Mercedes. A man in his 40s was lying in the grass. He was taken to an area trauma center for back and hip pain. Another man officials suspect was in the Mercedes during the collision suffered a broken leg and minor cuts. Both men denied being the driver, but officials believe one of them was the driver. Investigators are processing blood evidence left in the car, which they hope will help identify the driver.
