Seattle Washington Car Accident Lawyers: Shelton Fatal Car Crash Involved Teen Driver

By

Jordan McGuire, 14-year-old boy was killed and his 16-year-old brother, Joshua McGuire, was seriously injured in a Shelton, Washington car crash, according to a KOMO News report. Joshua was driving a BMW north on SR-3 just south of Allyn the morning of April 14, 2009 when he lost control of the car and struck a utility pole, Washington State Patrol officials said. Jordan was pronounced dead at the scene.

Joshua was taken to Mason General Hospital with serious head injuries and a broken neck. He was later airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Officials do not believe that drugs or alcohol were involved. The boys were apparently on their way to North Mason high School for a late start. Authorities are asking anyone who saw or has information about this fatal car accident to call 360-405-6613.

My heart goes out to the family of these two boys who are dealing with the nightmare of burying one of their children and attending to the other who is fighting for his life in the hospital. I offer my deepest sympathies to everyone who knew and loved Jordan McGuire for their heartbreaking loss. Please keep this family and young Joshua McGuire in your prayers. I hope and pray that Joshua survives his severe personal injuries and makes a quick and complete recovery.

According to the Washington Department of Transportation’s 2007 traffic accident statistics, 125 motor vehicle passengers were killed in car crashes and 501 suffered serious injuries in Washington State. During the same period, statistics show that 288 motor vehicle drivers died and 1,314 suffered serious personal injuries in Washington State car accidents.

In this case, any number of things may have gone wrong to cause this fatal Shelton car crash. There is no report of Joshua speeding in his BMW. If I were a family member, I would want to know why and how Joshua lost control of the vehicle. It may have been caused by an auto product defect or a mechanical malfunction. A nationally renowned car product defect law firm will be able to have an expert thoroughly examine the vehicle for inherent product defects or malfunction. The McGuire family should consult with experienced Seattle Washington car accident attorneys who will be able to give them more information about their legal rights and options. The best Seattle personal injury attorneys always offer a free and comprehensive consultation.
