Huntington Beach Motorcycle Accident Injures Two Men

By

Daniel Gonzalez, 27, and Marc Tisherman, 33, suffered severe head injuries in a Huntington Beach motorcycle accident after they first collided with one another and were then hit by a passing sport utility vehicle. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, Gonzalez and Tisherman crashed into each another on Beach Boulevard near Talbert and were ejected the evening of May 31, 2009.

A Toyota 4Runner then struck the two motorcyclists. Gonzalez and Tisherman were taken to area hospitals with severe head trauma. Both motorcyclists had been riding north on Beach in the first lane. Officials are still trying to determine why Gonzalez and Tisherman collided. The driver of the Toyota 4Runner was identified as Edward Cordova of San Dimas. Cordova was not personally injured. Huntington Beach police are asking anyone who witnessed this incident to call their traffic investigators at 714-536-5661.

My heart goes out to these two motorcyclists who have been severely injured. I wish them both the very best for a quick and complete recovery. I’m relieved that they did not suffer fatal injuries in this horrific motorcycle accident. Please keep them in your prayers.

According to California Highway Patrol’s 2007 traffic accident statistics, there were no fatalities and 55 injuries reported in Huntington Beach involving motorcycles. In Orange County as a whole, in 2007, 24 fatalities and 752 injuries were reported as a result of motorcycle accidents.

A lot remains to be answered as far as this Huntington Beach motorcycle accident is concerned. Why did Gonzalez and Tisherman first run into each other? Were they riding together? What caused the collision — a mechanical malfunction, motorcycle defective product, another car or a dangerous condition on the roadway? Did Cordova, the driver of the 4Runner have sufficient time to stop before striking the two motorcyclists? The answers to these questions will determine who should be held responsible for this motorcycle crash.

Gonzalez and Tisherman would be well advised to contact experienced Orange County motorcycle accident lawyers, who will analyze all aspects of this incident and help make a determination as to whether there was any negligence involved. The best Orange County personal injury lawyers will always offer a free and comprehensive initial consultation.

Your article asks a lot of “why” questions as far how this accident occurred. Personally I have heard many witnesses attesst to the fact that the SUV driver was arressted for a DUI. Have you considered that possibility as being the cause of this horrific accident?
