There is no suspect description or vehicle model available. The victim, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead in a local hospital. If you saw this incident or have information about the suspect, please call LAPD’s West Traffic Division, Investigator J. Fisher at 323-473-0234. Officials say tipsters can remain anonymous.

My heart goes out to the family and friends of this victim for their tragic and heartbreaking loss. It is infuriating to hear that a human being was struck, injured and left lying on the street. Outrageous! I offer my deepest condolences to this victim’s family.. They will be in my prayers. I certainly hope LAPD officials are successful in apprehending this suspect and bringing him to justice.

California Car Accident Laws
Leaving the scene of an accident is a serious crime in California. The victim’s family would be well-advised to consult with an experienced Los Angeles personal injury lawyer who will analyze all aspects of this accident and make sure that they receive fair compensation for their loss. Based on this news report it is not clear where the victim was walking when the Mercedes hit him. A skilled car accident attorney will also explore other factors such as a dangerous condition on the roadway, which may have caused or contributed to this fatal pedestrian accident. A knowledgeable Los Angeles personal injury lawyer will also advise the victim’s family about how their car insurance will apply to a hit-and-run accident or an accident involving an uninsured or underinsured driver.
