Orange County Car Accident Causes Injuries

Three people sustained injuries in an Orange County car accident, after two vehicles collided near a street intersection the morning of December 15, 2009, The Orange County Register reports. The injury car crash apparently occurred at the intersection of Westminster Boulevard and Newland Street when a Toyota Sienna van crashed into a Toyota Corolla. Injured in the crash were a 47-year-old woman, a 43-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man. The man sustained head injuries while the women complained of pain. All three were transported to an area hospital. Westminster police officials are investigating the incident.

I hope none of these victims sustained major injuries in this collision. I hope and pray all of then make a speedy and complete recovery. Please keep them in your prayers.

Orange County Car Accidents

According to California Highway Patrol’s 2007 traffic accident statistics, 10 people died and 559 were injured as a result of car accidents in Westminster. In Orange County, car accidents claimed 178 lives and injured 14,185 people during the same year.

This news report does not offer much information about how or why this car accident happened. It is not clear whether the collision occurred at or near the intersection of Westminster Boulevard and Newland Street. Did one of the drivers run a red light or fail to yield right-of-way?
