Claim for Compensation
If the details of this news report are accurate, it seems to me that the driver of the Coca-Cola truck may have set off this chain-reaction crash. The injured Caltrans workers would be entitled to workers compensation benefits because they were on-the-job at the time of the accident. In addition, they, as well as the other injured victims can file a claim against the driver of the Coca-Cola truck and his employer. In such cases, injured victims can seek compensation to cover medical expenses, hospitalization costs, surgery expenses, physical therapy and other rehabilitation expenses.
