What Caused This Serious Injury Accident?
Based on this news account, the investigation into the cause of the crash is underway. I trust investigators are determining the answers to a number of important questions. Was alcohol a contributing factor in the collision? Was either of the drivers distracted, speeding, fatigued or otherwise negligent at the time of the accident? Did either motorist fail to yield the right-of-way at the intersection? The intersection of Highway 62 and Dillon Road is monitored by a two-way stop sign. Traffic on Dillon Road is required to stop and yield to vehicles traveling on Highway 62. It is unclear if one of the vehicles in this case failed to stop at the stop sign.
In such cases, the at-fault party can be held liable for the injuries and damages caused. Injured victims can seek compensation to cover medical expenses, loss of wages, cost of hospitalization, rehabilitation and other related damages. Car accident victims would be well advised to contact an experienced Riverside personal injury lawyer, who will analyze all aspects of the incident and ensure that the negligent parties are held liable.
