Costa Mesa Car Crash Leaves Three Injured

AccidentThree people were injured, one critically, in a Costa Mesa car accident.

According to a news report in the Daily Pilot, the collision occurred near the intersection of Harbor Boulevard and Baker Street the afternoon of July 9, 2015.

Firefighters had to extricate one person from the wreckage, which included a car that ended up resting on its roof on Harbor near Date Place.

All three patients were transported to local trauma centers. One of those patients was in critical condition, police said.

The investigation is still ongoing.

According to the California Highway Patrol’s 2012 Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System (SWITRS), one death and 800 injuries were reported as a result of Costa Mesa car accidents.

In Orange County as a whole, 148 fatalities and 14,029 injuries were reported due to car accidents during the same year.
