Motorcyclist Fatally Injured In Laguna Niguel Crash

Car AccidentMatthew Greenberg, 39, was killed in a motorcycle accident in Laguna Niguel.

According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the accident occurred the morning of October 10, 2015 at Paseo De La Colinas and Del Cerro.

Greenberg was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.

The motorist, 89, was not injured. No citations or arrests were reported.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.

Officials do not believe alcohol or drugs were involved in this collision. The investigation is still ongoing.

Motorcycle Accident Statistics

According to California Highway Patrol’s 2013 Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System (SWITRS), there were no fatalities, but 10 injuries reported as a result of motorcycle accidents in Laguna Niguel. In Orange County as a whole, 30 people died and 989 were injured due to motorcycle accidents during the same year.
