The man is said to have sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries. The cause of the car accident is still under investigation.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the injured victims of this car accident. We wish them all the very best for a speedy and complete recovery.

Getting Medical Treatment

There are a number of actions victims of car accidents would be well advised to take in the aftermath of a car accident. One of these actions is to get prompt medical attention after the car accident. It is important that you see a doctor even if you have no apparent injuries because these injuries could surface days or even weeks after the car accident. Getting prompt medical attention not only helps document the injuries and the treatment you received, but it also gives you the best shot at a quick and full recovery.

It is important that you follow the doctor’s orders and follow through with his or her recommendations. It is also critical that you maintain detailed records of your injury and treatment including doctor visits, hospital bills, invoices for physical therapy services, etc. It would also be a good idea to maintain a journal so you can describe the treatment you received and how you felt during the recovery process.

Liability Issues

At-fault drivers can be held liable for the injuries and damages they cause. Injured victims can seek compensation for damages including medical expenses, lost wages, hospitalization and pain and suffering. Injured victims would be well advised to contact an experienced Costa Mesa personal injury lawyer who will stay abreast of the official investigation and help ensure that their legal rights and best interests are protected.
