What Caused This Crash?

Based on this news report, it appears that this incident occurred close to an intersection. But, there are still a number of unanswered questions here. Who had the right of way? Was there a bike lane on this street? If so, did the driver intrude into the bike lane? Did distracted or inattentive driving play a part? Did a dangerous or defectively designed roadway cause or contribute to this major injury collision? We trust officials are looking into these and other issues in order to determine precisely what occurred here and why.

Fault and Liability

If the driver in this case is determined to have been at fault or even partly at fault, she can be held liable for the injuries, damages and losses caused. Injured victims in such cases can seek compensation for damages such as medical expenses, lost income, hospitalization, cost of rehabilitative therapy, pain and suffering and emotional distress.

If a dangerous or defectively designed roadway caused the accident, the city or governmental agency responsible for maintaining the roadway can also be held liable. An experienced Fullerton car accident lawyer can help injured victims and their families better understand their legal rights and options.
