Bicyclist Suffers Head Injury in Fullerton Crash


Bicycle AccidentA 32-year-old man suffered a head injury in a Fullerton bicycle accident.

According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the major injury collision occurred the morning of October 22, 2015 when a red Mitsubishi Lancer struck a bicyclist who was crossing Chapman Avenue going northbound on Victoria Drive.

Police said there is a crosswalk in the area, but are looking into whether the bicyclist was in the crosswalk at the time.

The driver of the vehicle, a 24-year-old woman, stayed at the scene and cooperated with police. Officials do not believe alcohol or drugs were involved.

The bicyclist was transported to an area trauma center with head injuries. He is expected to survive. The investigation is still ongoing.
