Vaishali Bohara, 33, was killed and her husband and son were injured in an Irvine rollover accident. According to a report on Patch.com, the fatal crash occurred the afternoon of Sept. 23 at the intersection of Walnut Avenue and Jamboree Road. The family was in a Mercedes Benz SUV, which rolled over on impact with the other vehicle. According to a KTLA news report, the incident occurred the evening of April 16 along Alameda Avenue between Mariposa Street and Griffith Park Drive. Andrew Kim, 22, was killed in a Tustin car accident, which officials say, may have been caused by excessive speed. According to a news report in the Orange County Register, the fatal crash occurred early morning on March 10. Firefighters responded to reports of a Ford Mustang striking a tree on Jamboree Road just north of Patriot Way. The force of the crash severed the vehicle in half and caused the engine compartment to catch fire. A motorcyclist involved in a 2017 multi-vehicle car accident on the 14 Freeway that stemmed from a road rage incident whose video went viral, has been arrested eight months later. The man has been identified as 44-year-old Andrew Flanigan. According to an NBC Los Angeles news report, the dangerous incident, which was caught on camera, occurred on June 21, 2017. Flanigan, who was on the motorcycle, is accused of speeding up to a sedan and kicking the side of the vehicle. His action caused the sedan to veer left, crash into the wall and strike a pickup truck that ended up on its roof. Continue reading →

Jaslyn Ouch, 20, was killed in a Long Beach car accident, which also left four others critically injured. According to a CBS Los Angeles news report, the fatal car crash occurred near the intersection of Long Beach Boulevard and Spring Street. Police say Ouch was a passenger in a Honda Civic that was slammed into by a Ford Mustang the evening of Jan. 20. Police say four people were transported. Police say four people were in critical condition after they were pulled from the wreckage. Catherine Gomez, 17, was killed in a Baldwin Park pedestrian accident after a vehicle struck her while she was walking in a marked crosswalk. According to a CBS Los Angeles news report, the fatal crash occurred the night of Dec. 18 when Gomez was walking with her boyfriend in a marked crosswalk at the intersection of Pacific and Vineland avenues. A 39-year-old man was critically injured in a Fullerton bicycle accident after he was struck by a car the evening of December 1, 2017. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the major injury crash occurred near the intersection of Orangethorpe and Courtney avenues. The man suffered head and facial injuries. The driver of the Hyundai sedan, a 52-year-old Fullerton woman, was not injured and remained at the scene. The bicyclist was transported to an area hospital for treatment of his injuries. Two people were killed on the 22 Freeway in Garden Grove after a man was struck by a vehicle when he got out of a disabled vehicle, an incident that triggered a subsequent crash. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, 50-year-old Raul Vazquez Jr., 50, of Santa Ana was pronounced dead at the scene and Charlotte Nugent, 68, of Seal Beach died at a local hospital. Two young boys, ages 7 and 9, were killed in a Boyle Heights crash, and several others were critically injured after they were struck by a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department SUV that was responding to a call. According to a report in the Los Angeles Times, the incident occurred the night of November 16, 2017 at the intersection of Whittier Boulevard and Indiana Street. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, a man driving along Laguna Canyon Road the night of October 15, 2017 fell asleep at the wheel, lost control of his vehicle and struck a power pole knocking live wires across the roadway. The crash, which occurred near the 2600 block of Laguna Canyon Road, shut down the roadway for most of the night. The car’s driver did suffer injuries, but the extent of those injuries is not known.
