Edward Lustro, 34, a paramedic with American Medical Response, was killed in a motorcycle accident in Palm Springs after officials say a driver made an illegal U-turn. According to a KTLA news report, Lustro had just completed a 12-hour shift when the crash occurred on the Gene Autry Trail north of Seven Lakes Drive the morning of March 18. 35 Injured in Crash Involving 19 Vehicles in Cajon Pass
Thirty-five people were injured in car accident involving 19 vehicles on a foggy morning Wednesday, Jan. 16. According to a KTLA news report, the pileup occurred along the southbound 15 Freeway south of Oak Hills. Victims were triaged at the scene and preliminary reports indicated 35 people suffered non-life-threatening injuries. A road rage incident in Garden Grove early morning on Dec. 8 resulted in gunfire and ended in a crash that sent one person to the hospital. According to a CBS Los Angeles news report, a police officer came across a major traffic accident at the intersection of Harbor Boulevard and Lampson Avenue and learned that a shooting had also taken place. An investigation showed that occupants of a red 2007 Ford pickup truck and a white 2014 Hyundai sedan were traveling west on the 22 Freeway when they became involved in a road rage incident. Los Angles County saw an unusually high number of crashes on its roadways in just a period of four hours the morning of Thursday, Nov. 29, after rain pounded the area. According to a KTLA news report, between 5 a.m. and 9 a.m. alone, there were 365 crashes in Los Angeles County, a number that is four times higher than the day before. Vaishali Bohara, 33, was killed and her husband and son were injured in an Irvine rollover accident. According to a report on Patch.com, the fatal crash occurred the afternoon of Sept. 23 at the intersection of Walnut Avenue and Jamboree Road. The family was in a Mercedes Benz SUV, which rolled over on impact with the other vehicle. Lenny Trinh, 52, was killed in a bicycle dooring accident in Burbank after he crashed into an open car door and was then hit by a passing truck. Speed May Have Been a Factor in Fiery Tustin Car Accident
Andrew Kim, 22, was killed in a Tustin car accident, which officials say, may have been caused by excessive speed. According to a news report in the Orange County Register, the fatal crash occurred early morning on March 10. Firefighters responded to reports of a Ford Mustang striking a tree on Jamboree Road just north of Patriot Way. The force of the crash severed the vehicle in half and caused the engine compartment to catch fire.
