A 15-year-old boy, identified as Ramiro Macias, was critically injured in a bicycle accident after he was struck by a minivan while riding his bike. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the teen was riding his bike near Brookhurst Street and Ball Road the night of September 18, 2016. Witnesses told police that the van, a gray Dodge Caravan, was driving erratically, swerved and struck the bicyclist.

They also told police that the driver failed to stop and continued driving. The boy was riding his bike south on Brookhurst in the bike lane. The front of the minivan will have damage consistent with hitting a bicycle, officials said. Anyone with information is asked to contact Anaheim police at 714-765-1900.

Police are looking for a motorist in connection with a hit-and-run accident in South Los Angeles that left a woman dead. According to a news report in the Los Angeles Times, the fatal pedestrian accident occurred early morning on September 14, 2016 near 79th Street and Western Avenue. The driver, a male driving a black Chevrolet, struck the woman and kept driving south on Western Avenue toward 80th Street.

The incident is being investigated as a felony hit-and-run. Some people in the neighborhood said the person who struck the victim might have been speeding because there were skid marks on the street. The location where this crash occurred is about half a mile from one of Los Angeles County’s most problematic intersections, Florence and Western Avenues where 30 hit-and-run crashes were reported between 2002 and 2013, according to the Times’ analysis of California crash records.

Two people, a father and daughter, were injured in a four-car crash in Garden Grove, which officials say, involved a hit-and-run driver. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the incident occurred the night of February 21, 2016. Police say a man was driving southbound in a 2008 Chevy Silverado in the 13100 block of Magnolia Street when he struck a vehicle that was headed in the same direction.

The pickup truck driver lost control and hit two parked vehicles on the west side of the street, one of which was occupied by a man and his daughter, who was outside the vehicle trying to get grocery bags out. The impact of the collision caused the red Kia Sportage to roll over. The man inside was trapped and had to be extricated. Both father and daughter were taken to a local hospital. Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a driver who was involved in a hit-and-run accident in Inglewood, which left a motorcyclist dead. According to an NBC Los Angeles news report, the fatal accident occurred at the intersection of Harvard and Florence avenues on February 5, 2016. Police say the car was headed north on Harvard Avenue when it pulled in front of the motorcycle, which was eastbound on Florence. The motorcyclist collided with the car.

The driver of the car did stop, but left without identifying himself or helping the injured man. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The hit-and-run driver is male, but no further personal description is available. Police are searching for a silver or white Jeep Liberty with a license plate containing “6TJ.” Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call detectives at 323-421-2500.

A 22-year-old Santa Ana woman has been arrested a month after she fled the scene of a fatal hit-and-run crash.

According to a news report in The Orange County Register, Belen Guadalupe was arrested after investigators tracked her down from a tip they got from the public.

They found her blue Honda Accord linked to the Nov. 29 crash that killed 35-year-old Jorge Lopez-Lobato.

Officials say Lopez-Lobato was crossing First Street at the 1200 block when he was struck.

Officials in Boyle Heights are asking for the public’s help to find a hit-and-run driver who left a nun seriously injured on the roadway.

According to a CBS Los Angeles news report, the nun, 69-year-old Raquel Diaz, was in the crosswalk at Winter Street and North Evergreen Avenue walking to mass when a vehicle traveling southbound on North Evergreen Avenue struck her.

An elderly man suffered fatal injuries early morning on December 8, 2015 after a driver lost control of his vehicle and swerved on to a sidewalk striking the victim.

According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the elderly man and a woman were sitting on a bus bench in the 2500 block of West McFadden Avenue when the driver struck them.

Witnesses told police the driver was going eastbound on West McFadden Avenue when he lost control of his vehicle and struck the two elderly pedestrians.

Rebekah Dawn Loberg, 30, has been charged with felony hit-and-run in connection with a pedestrian accident in Hemet earlier this month, which killed 33-year-old Michael Villalpando.

According to a news report in The Press Enterprise, the fatal crash occurred the night of November 6, 2015 along Highway 74.

Police say Loberg struck and killed Villalpando who was walking along the shoulder of the eastbound lanes of Highway 74, also known as Florida Avenue, in the Hemet-area community of Valle Vista.
