Elderly Man Killed In Westminster Pedestrian Accident


Pedestrian AccidentMinh Vo, 79, was killed in a pedestrian accident in Westminster after he was struck by two vehicles that collided.

According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the fatal accident occurred in the 9300 block of Bolsa Avenue the night of September 18, 2015.

Police said two vehicles collided at that location causing one of them to veer onto the sidewalk striking the pedestrian.

Firefighters took Vo to an area trauma center where he died from his injuries shortly afterward.

The drivers of both vehicles involved in the crash remained at the scene and were uninjured. Police do not believe alcohol or drugs were factors in this collision.

No citations or arrests were reported. The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Anyone who may have witnessed this crash is asked to contact Westminster police at 714-548-3220.

According to California Highway Patrol’s 2013 Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System (SWITRS), there were two fatalities and 36 injuries reported as a result of pedestrian accidents in the city of Westminster.
