Fullerton Car Accident Causes Injuries

Three people were injured in a Fullerton car accident involving two vehicles the morning of March 20, 2015.

According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the injury collision occurred at the intersection of North State College Boulevard and Rolling Hills Drive.

Officials say the crash happened in the intersection.

But they are not sure in which directions the cars were driving and why the collision occurred.

A woman was trapped inside one of the vehicles and had to
be extricated. Two men were transported to an area trauma center as well. None of them seem to have suffered life-threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing.

We are relieved to note that no one suffered critical injuries in this street intersection collision. We wish them all the very best for a quick and full recovery.

Traffic Accident Statistics

According to California Highway Patrol’s 2012 Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System (SWITRS), there were three fatalities and 776 injuries reported as a result of traffic accidents in the city of Fullerton.

In Orange County as a whole, 148 people died and 14,029 were injured due to car accidents during the same year.

What Caused the Accident?

Based on this news report, it appears that the collision occurred at a street intersection. Whenever such collisions occur, it is important to understand who or what caused them, which in this case, officials are still investigating.

There are a number of questions here.

Did one of the drivers run a red light at the intersection? Did he or she fail to yield the right-of-way? Did someone make an unsafe turn at the intersection? Did alcohol and/or drugs play a part? Was one of the drivers distracted, fatigued, speeding or otherwise negligent?
