Karla Arteaga, 20, was severely injured in a Tulare car accident that may have involved a driver making an unsafe left turn. According to a news report in the Visalia Times Delta, the serious injury accident occurred at Newcomb and Olive avenues in Porterville the night of April 14, 2011. Arteaga was driving her 1992 BMW when a Ford F-150 pickup truck made a left turn in front of her vehicle at the intersection. Arteaga sustained major injuries in the accident. The driver of the Ford, 42-year-old David Bochat, 42, and his passenger were uninjured. No citations have been issued pending an official investigation.
My thoughts and prayers are with Karla Arteaga following this serious injury car accident. I wish her a complete and speedy recovery from her injuries.

What Caused This Intersection Accident?
Based on this news report, the driver of the Ford turned left in front of the BMW.
