Los Angeles DUI Collision Injures Four

Four people were injured in a Los Angeles car accident, after officials say, a vehicle driven by a suspected DUI driver crashed into a fast food restaurant. According to a news report in the Los Angeles Daily News, the injury car accident occurred at Tom’s Burgers on Cahuenga Boulevard in North Hollywood the morning of January 3, 2010. Police say the driver, 35-year-old Geoffrey Hathaway, lost control of his Infiniti G35 sedan and crashed into the restaurant. Three customers in the restaurant – two adults and a child – sustained injuries, but are expected to survive. Police found numerous aerosol cans inside the car and say Hathaway was under the influence of an “aerosol delivered substance” and speeding when he lost control of his car. He has been arrested on suspicion of DUI.

It is indeed fortunate that this DUI collision did not turn out to be much worse. I’m relieved to hear that the patrons inside the restaurant did not sustain major or life-threatening injuries. I wish the injured victims the very best for a speedy and complete recovery.
