Motorcyclist Injured in Car Accident

Denise Marie Ieye, 48, was injured in a car accident in Shasta County after her motorcycle was hit by a car making a U-turn. According to a news report in The Redding Record Searchlight, the injury motorcycle accident occurred on Bechelli Lane in Redding the afternoon of January 18, 2011. Ieye was riding her motorcycle behind Erin Beth Louis, 30, when Louis decided to make a U-turn. Ieye struck the car and sustained injuries. Police say they will issue a citation to Louis for making an unsafe U-turn. Ieye’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
