One person was killed and two others were injured when a mortuary van that was transporting a body to a funeral home crashed with another vehicle. According to a news report in the Los Angeles Times, a passenger in the mortuary van identified as 59-year-old Marvin Bray was killed in the crash that occurred at the intersection of Sierra Highway and Palmdale Boulevard the night of Nov. 26.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s officials said the mortuary van had a green light and was making a left turn on to Palmdale Boulevard from Sierra Highway when a vehicle heading east on Palmdale crashed into it. The passenger in the van was killed and the driver was taken to a hospital in critical condition. The driver of the other vehicle was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries. No arrests or citations were reported. The investigation is still ongoing.
