Family of Four Killed in San Bernardino Car Accident

A chain-reaction San Bernardino car accident involving several vehicles led to the deaths of 32-year-old Ryan Villalpando, his 29-year-old wife Veronica, 4-year-old son Mateo and infant daughter Bella Rose. According to a KTLA News report, the fatal car accident occurred the afternoon of February 13, 2010 on the 15 Freeway near Jurupa Avenue. California Highway Patrol officials said the crash involved two big rigs, a U-Haul truck and two passenger vehicles. Three others sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Officials are still looking into which one of the vehicles caused this tragic car crash.

My heart goes out to everybody who knew and loved this young family. According to news reports Villalpando was a beloved football coach at Moreno Valley High School. I offer my deepest condolences to the family and friends of the victims. Their loved ones will certainly be in my thoughts and prayers.

Car Accident Statistics

According to California Highway Patrol’s 2008 Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System, there were 17 fatalities and 1,012 injuries involving car accidents in Ontario. In San Bernardino County as a whole, 263 deaths and 8,504 injuries were reported as a result of traffic accidents during the same year.

Car Accident Causes and Liability Issues

Based on this news report, it is not clear which one of the vehicles caused the accident. Investigators are still sifting through the evidence in order to determine who was at fault here. However, news reports state that the Villalpando’s car was sandwiched between two big rigs and was at the end of the chain of vehicles that were involved in the crash.

There are still many unanswered questions here and I hope the results of the official investigation will shed some light on what happened here. Was one of the drivers speeding, driving under the influence, distracted or negligent in some other way? Which one of the drivers was responsible for causing the chain reaction crash? The Villalpando family has suffered a tremendous loss and deserves answers.

I was looking up information on a dream I had; my recently deceased father spoke with me and showed signs of things I should possibly look a little deeper into. He had a heavy piece of orange jewelry in his hands and threw it off a high building into a city resulting in one mans death. Im not sure if this is relevant to anything, but I thought maybe this man may be in the news/article or something. May be see if he is real, I put in some key words and I found a laundry list of accidents invovling either DUI’s or people just driving carelessly. May be thats what I was supposed to find.
