A woman sustained injuries in a DUI collision in the Penngrove area of Petaluma the evening of June 27, 2010. According to a news report in the Santa Rosa Press Democrat, the collision occurred at the intersection of Petaluma Hill Road and Valley House Drive between a Toyota 4Runner SUV and a Toyota Camry. The female driver of the Camry was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital. She is expected to survive. The male driver of the 4Runner was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. Three passengers in the 4Runner were uninjured.

According to California Highway Patrol’s 2008 Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System (SWITRS), there were four fatalities and 14 injuries involving DUI collisions in Petaluma.
