Stanton Car Accident Proves Fatal

Car AccidentAlexander Nguyen, 69, was killed in a Stanton car accident after his vehicle collided with an SUV at a street intersection.

According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the fatal car accident occurred the afternoon of November 15, 2015 at the intersection of Fern and Cerritos avenues in Stanton.

Police say Nguyen was driving with his wife in a Honda CR-V traveling south on Fern Avenue when he stopped at a stop sign at the Cerritos Avenue intersection.

Officials said Nguyen then proceeded through the intersection when a man in his 30s driving west on Cerritos in a white SUV

slammed into the driver’s side of the vehicle.

Nguyen’s vehicle was struck as he drove across the line, police said. Vehicles on Cerritos Avenue don’t have a stop sign and the driver of the SUV was not required to yield.

Nguyen died at the scene while his wife and the driver of the other vehicle were transported to an area hospital. Both are expected to survive.

Alcohol or drugs were not factors. No arrests or citations were reported. An investigation is ongoing.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to Nguyen’s family. We also wish the injured the very best for a quick and full recovery.
