A Los Angeles car crash involving four vehicles resulted in injuries for 10 people. According to a City News Service report, the injury crash occurred on the northbound 110 Freeway at Adams Boulevard in South Los Angeles the night of July 25, 2012. California Highway Patrol officials say some of the injured victims were ejected from the vehicles. Nine out of the 10 injured victims were transported to area hospitals. Two of the patients suffered serious injuries and seven others sustained non-life-threatening injuries. One of the victims declined to be taken to the hospital. CHP is still investigating this crash.
My thoughts and prayers are with all the injured victims of this car crash. I wish them the very best for a speedy and complete recovery.

What Caused This Collision?
Based on this news report, it is unclear as to how or why this multi-car collision occurred. There are several unanswered questions here. What caused this accident? Was this a chain-reaction collision? Did one of the vehicles rear-end another car? Was speed a factor? Did one of the drivers make an unsafe lane change? Did alcohol, drugs or distracted driving play a part in this crash? I trust officials are looking into these and other issues in order to determine precisely what occurred here and why.
Compensation for Injured Victims
In such cases, the at-fault driver can be held liable for the injuries and damages caused. Injured victims can seek compensation to cover medical expenses, loss of wages, cost of hospitalization, rehabilitation and other related damages. Injured victims would also be well advised to seek the counsel of a Los Angeles personal injury lawyer who will analyze all facets of the incident and ensure that the negligent parties are held liable.
Investigations in multi-car collision cases can get rather complex because of contradicting accounts of the incident and the number of insurance companies and attorneys who may be involved. If you have been injured in a multi-vehicle collision, please ensure that you do not rush into an agreement or sign any papers that may jeopardize your claim.
