Two people were injured in a San Bernardino car accident, which officials say was caused by a driver who ran a red light, the morning of January 4, 2012. According to a news report in the Victorville Daily Press, the injury collision occurred on the Mojave Drive onramp to the northbound Interstate 15. Officials say a man driving a blue Geo was making a left turn onto the onramp when an Apple Valley woman, who was westbound on Mojave Drive, ran a red light and struck the Geo. The impact of the collision caused the Geo to be split in two. The driver of the Geo was transported to an area hospital as was the other driver. Both sustained non-life-threatening injuries. An investigation is ongoing.
My heart goes out to the injured driver of the Geo. I’m relieved to hear that he has not suffered critical injuries. I wish the victims the very best for a speedy and complete recovery.
