What Caused This Fatal Collision?
Based on the news account, investigators are still trying to determine what caused the Honda Accord to collide with the Dodge Nitro. Was one of the drivers speeding? Did this early morning collision involve a fatigued driver? Was either driver distracted at the time of the crash? Did this freeway collision involve a dangerous lane change or tailgating? I trust investigators are looking for the answers to these and other questions in order to determine precisely what occurred here and why.
If the driver of the Dodge is determined to have been at fault, then, he or she can be held liable for Segarra’s wrongful death. In cases where negligence is involved, the family of a deceased accident victim can file a wrongful death claim seeking compensation for medical expenses, funeral costs, lost future income, loss of love and companionship, and other related damages. Victims’ families would be well advised to seek the counsel of an experienced Los Angeles personal injury lawyer, who will analyze all aspects of the incident and ensure that the negligent parties are held liable. The best personal injury law firms will always offer a free consultation and comprehensive case evaluation to victims or their families.
